summer isn’t over ’til it’s cold

The flowers are blooming, the nectarines are ripening, the tomatoes are pure sugar. None of this “August is fall” BS. It’s summer until it’s cold! Or at least until the leaves change. Why would we rush a perfect season out the door? (And this is coming from a Halloween aficionado, but it’s TOO SOON for that.)
